London travel

United Kingdom has many tourist spots. It is the destination of many tourists around the world. Some of the tourist spots that people don’t miss often are Hyde Park, Tower of London, London Eye, Westminster Abbey, St Paul’s Cathedral, Piccadilly Circus, Covent Garden, Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament etc. Some of the reason why you wouldn’t miss them are:

1. Tower of London: Several monarchs died in the Tower of London. One was thirteen-year-old King Edward V. When his father, King Edward IV died, his uncle Richard, the Duke of Gloucester, plotted to take the throne for himself. Richard had the thirteen-year-old king and his younger brother, the Duke of York, taken to the tower. Lord Hastings, a royal officer, tried to protect Edward, but was unsuccessful. Hastings’ head was chopped off on the Tower Green, and Edward and his brother were murdered. These murders most likely took place in the Garden Tower, which was later renamed the Bloody Tower.

2. Hyde Park: Hyde Park is an evergreen and everyone’s favorite tourist spot in London. Whoever visits London, comes here too. It’s a must. Hyde park is close to some other tourist attractions and that makes it more useful to visit this beautiful and London’s finest historic landscapes covering 142 hectares (350 acres). There is something for everyone in Hyde Park. With over 4,000 trees, a lake, a meadow, horse rides and more it is easy to forget that you’re in the middle of London. As I was saying, you can get to Buckingham Palace, London Eye, Big Ben and Piccadilly circus if you are at Hyde Park. Many tourists make their base in nearby hotels.

3. London Eye: You can see up to 25 miles in each direction with views over some of the world’s most famous sights, including St Paul’s, the Palace of Westminster and Windsor Castle. The 32 high-tech passenger capsules can carry over 15,000 visitors a day. In fact all those places I have mentioned earlier are those spots which everyone normally visits.

Accommodation is also available everywhere. You can find many luxury London hotels. Hyde park area has big hotels like London Elizabeth Hotel. It is located within walking distance from both Lancaster Gate tube station and Paddington station. The Cumberland, The Leonard Hotel etc. You can find many other cheap hotels there which are suitable for low budget travellers.

If you have time and inclination to roam around London then Manchester and Birmingham can provide you just the right amount of pleasure in leisure. You can also book nice big luxurious Hotels in Manchester. And for those who want to stay in Birmingham, they can also find many types of nice, luxurious Hotels in Birmingham at a fairly low accommodation fee.
